America’s Favorite Couple is a nationwide competition that celebrates real-life love stories. Contestants advance through public voting, with proceeds from paid votes benefiting nonprofit causes. Winners receive a cash prize and national media features.

Why are Stacey and Mark competing in America’s Favorite Couple?

We entered to raise awareness and support for building an Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) for Stacey’s children’s father, who has CADASIL, a rare genetic dementia. The ADU will allow care with dignity and close family connection.

CADASIL is a rare, inherited condition that affects blood vessels in the brain and can lead to strokes, dementia, and other neurological symptoms. You can follow Jerry’s journey on Instagram at @CADASILCoach.

An Accessory Dwelling Unit is a small, independent home on the same lot as a primary residence. ADUs support multigenerational living, caregiving, or guest housing. Ours will support a loved one with CADASIL.
