Local Tulsa Couple Named Finalists in America’s Favorite Couple Contest — Here’s Their Powerful Story

We’re beyond proud to share that we’ve been named quarter-finalists in the America’s Favorite Couple contest — Representing the TOP 1% of entrants & one of only 20 couples across the country advancing past thousands of entries.
As Tulsa Remote alumni and Zeeco Oktoberfest hosts, we’re bringing Tulsa’s heart to a national stage.

America’s Favorite Couple: The Contest at a Glance

Hosted by Jeff and Emilie Goldblum and powered by Colossal, America’s Favorite Couple is more than a contest — it’s a platform for storytelling. Finalists are narrowed by public votes: one free vote every 24 hours, more with donations that benefit Regional Food Banks and Oceana, an ocean conservation nonprofit. The winner receives $20,000 and a featured spread in Variety magazine.

Our Why: Care, Community, and CADASIL

This contest is deeply personal for us. We entered not for fame, but to support a mission: building an Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) for my children’s father, Jerry — who is living with CADASIL, a rare inherited dementia. This ADU will allow him to be cared for with dignity, right here at home and avoid assisted living or memory care.

Standing Out in the Crowd

Other contestants may have already received attention, but none have advanced as far as we have, and none come with the same Tulsa-rooted connection and reach. We’ve never been featured in the press — literally every vote that carried us here came from people moved by our story & we’re beyond honored for all of the organic support we’ve received so far!

How Voting Works

According to the official contest rules:

  • Voting progresses via rounds — Top 20 → 15 → 10 → 5 → Group Finals → Quarterfinals → Semifinals → Finals. (Look how far we’ve come!)

  • Everyone gets one free vote every 24 hours.

  • Additional votes can be purchased with donations, benefiting the national charities.

Tulsa Roots, Digital Reach

We’re not just contestants — we’re creators and connectors. Through our lifestyle blog, BecomingBetterNotBitter.com, and our Instagram @TulsaTips, we spotlight Tulsa events, small businesses, and local day trips — cultivating a loyal audience. As hosts of Zeeco Oktoberfest and part of Tulsa Remote’s Class of 2022, we embody local pride and community spirit.
