Best Breweries in & around OKC

If you’re new here, we’re just two divorced Gen Xers on a mission to find the best stuff to eat, sip, and see in this glorious middle chapter of life. Think of this blog as your unofficial guide to places that are cool but not crowded, local but not boring, and always worth the gas money.

Today, we’re sharing our picks for the best breweries in and around OKC.
Whether you're a seasoned hophead or someone who just wants a cold one that doesn’t taste like regret, this list is for you. 👇

1. Stonecloud Brewing Co.
📍 1012 NW 1st St, OKC

This one’s for the hazy IPA lovers. Set in a converted warehouse, Stonecloud gets high marks for both creativity and consistency. If Neon Sunshine doesn’t make you believe in beer as a lifestyle, nothing will. They rotate seasonal releases often, so there’s always something new to try. Also, the people-watching here? Five stars.

2. Angry Scotsman Brewing
📍 704 W Reno Ave, OKC

With a rooftop patio that begs for golden hour selfies, this downtown gem is low-key one of the best spots to kick back after a day of being a responsible adult. Their ESB (Extra Special Bitter) is smooth, balanced, and just different enough to feel special. Bonus points if you catch one of their trivia nights or food truck pairings.

3. Elk Valley Brewing Co.
📍 1210 N Hudson Ave, OKC

Elk Valley doesn't get as much hype as some of the others, which honestly makes us love it more. Their space is sleek and comfy, the bartenders are always happy to talk through the lineup, and the Magic Juice hazy IPA is dangerously drinkable. This spot feels like your cool friend’s living room, if your friend also happened to be a brewing genius.

4. COOP Ale Works
📍 4745 Council Heights Rd, OKC

A true OG in the Oklahoma beer scene. COOP Ale Works is about to open their new digs in the renovated 23rd Street Armory, and we’re counting down the days. Until then, you can still find their classics like F5 IPA all over the city. Crisp, hoppy, and basically a rite of passage.

5. Skydance Brewing Company
📍 1 NE 7th St, OKC

Native-owned and full of bold flavors, Skydance is brewing with heart and heritage. Their Fancy Dance Hazy IPA is the kind of beer you plan your whole afternoon around. The vibe inside is modern and welcoming, and the community support they get speaks volumes. If you're looking to drink local in every sense of the word, this is your spot.

6. Roughtail Brewing Co.
📍 320 W Memorial Rd, OKC

A little bit further north but worth the detour. Roughtail mixes solid staples with experimental batches that keep things interesting. Their outdoor patio is dog-friendly and great for meet-ups, and their Everything Rhymes with Orange IPA is the kind of drink that sticks with you — in a good way.

7. Lively Beerworks
📍 815 SW 2nd St, OKC

Clean, crisp, and easygoing. Lively is exactly what you want on a Friday when you don’t want to overthink your order. Their Blonde Ale is refreshing, the staff is welcoming, and the space is set up for both post-work hangs and lazy weekend stops. It’s not trying to be the loudest kid in the class — and that’s why we like it.

8. Nothing’s Left Brewing Co. (Bonus: in Tulsa)
📍 1502 E 6th St, Tulsa

We know this one isn’t in OKC, but we’re including it anyway. Why? Because if you’re making a weekend out of this list and heading east, this is the place you want to end up. From glitter beers to cereal milk stouts, they’re always playing with flavor in ways that are weirdly wonderful. Go ahead, order the Strawberry Blonde with whipped cream on top. We won’t judge.

RIP - We’ll Always Remember You 🪦
Vanessa House Beer Company
📍 118 NW 8th St, OKC

These folks started brewing in a garage and once upon a time ran one of the coolest spots in Automobile Alley. Their Brosé was a tart, fruity twist that somehow hits even when it’s freezing outside. Plus, their comic book aesthetic and quirky merch made this a fun stop even if you're just beer-curious. The atmosphere was relaxed, with plenty of room for your friends, your dogs, and your "I'm just here for the vibe" mood. #DamnYouPandemic
